~Cedar Pond's Vandal. He is just 1 year old and very large for a Jacob yearling. I like his horns and markings. He looks like he has a smile painted on his face.
Patchwork Fibers, thank-you. Vandal continues to amaze me with is rapid growth and looks that appeal to me as a keeper of Jacob sheep. I wish he were not so related to all my sheep, because I would love to justify keeping him. His Mom is from a Huntsberger Ram and Bide-a-Wee ewe ( we own her ) and I am more impressed every year with the genes from his momma and sire. Thank-you Karen Lobb, Doug Montgomery and Mark and Cathie Williams! The sire is Swallow Lane Torque.
Why yes, he is a Vandal..but I named him after the people group, the Vandals, and I plan on naming a future ram 'Viking'....thank-you Shannon. And yes, Vandal reminds me very much of Torque.
Nice looking ram.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy! and he is barely 1 year old!
ReplyDeleteI love his laterals!

ReplyDeleteHe is a very nice ram. Is he a vandal like his name implies? Torque was a nice ram as well and it looks like he passed on some good genes.
